Veda’s one-year milestone session was an absolute joy to photograph in my cozy Lodi, CA studio! From sweet, classic portraits to a fun sunflower-themed cake smash, this session was full of personality and moments to cherish forever. We started with some timeless setups that focused on Veda’s precious details—her bright eyes, tiny hands, and that adorable little grin! The soft florals and neutral tones perfectly complemented her sweet personality. These classic setups are a staple in my baby photography sessions, highlighting all the little things you’ll want to remember forever. For the cake smash, we went all out with a sunflower theme, and it was a hit! The bright yellows brought such a cheerful vibe to the setup, and Veda dove right in with curiosity (and a little bit of caution at first!). Watching her explore the frosting and crumble the cake into tiny pieces was the highlight of the day. It’s always so fun to see how little ones react to their first cake—messy and adorable memories every time. What I love most about these first birthday photography sessions is capturing a mix of sweet portraits and those candid, unfiltered moments that truly tell the story of their first year.
