I can’t believe Isla is already ONE! It feels like just yesterday when I was capturing her newborn session, and now here we are, celebrating her first birthday with the sweetest cake smash. Watching Isla grow over this past year has been such a joy. From her tiny newborn days to her bright, giggly personality now—it’s been amazing to document every milestone.
Isla has always been such a calm, happy baby during her sessions. Even during her sitter session, she was all smiles and totally comfortable in front of the camera. Her cake smash was no different! She was so curious about the cake at first, but once she got a taste, there was no turning back. She absolutely dove in, and the aftermath was hilarious (and so cute!).
For this session, we kept things soft and natural with neutral tones, pretty florals, and cozy textures. Isla wore the sweetest cream outfit that perfectly matched the soft, earthy tones of the set. Her big brown eyes and those little curls made every single shot so precious.
Capturing a baby’s first year is truly one of the most rewarding parts of my job. It’s amazing to see how much they change in just 12 months—from sleepy newborn to curious baby to confident toddler. Isla’s parents now have a full set of beautiful milestone photos to look back on and remember this incredible year.
