Penelope’s one-year milestone and cake smash session was full of charm, personality, and just the right amount of mess! At this age, babies are bursting with curiosity and energy, and Penelope brought all of that to her session — along with the sweetest smiles and sparkling eyes.
We started off with her milestone portraits in a beautiful cream ruffle dress. She looked like a little doll on the vintage rattan bed surrounded by soft florals and blush tones. Her sweet expressions and gentle curiosity made it so easy to capture a gallery full of heart-melting images.
Then came the fun part — the cake smash! Set against a warm pink and white balloon garland, Penelope dove right into her pink-and-white cake. Her reactions ranged from pure delight to thoughtful cake analysis, and the frosting-covered cheeks were everything. These cake smash sessions are designed to let little ones explore, get messy, and celebrate turning one in the most joyful way.
As a Lodi baby photographer, these one-year sessions are some of my favorites. It’s such a big milestone — the end of babyhood and the start of toddlerhood. Every detail, from the way they sit or stand, to how they interact with the cake, tells a story that parents will treasure forever.
