Welcoming a newborn into the world is always such a special season, and this sweet session with baby Gema at just 8 days old was absolutely beautiful to capture. Those early newborn days are so fleeting, and documenting them with timeless newborn photography is something families will always treasure.
Gema was such a dream during her newborn session in my Lodi photography studio. At just over a week old, she settled perfectly into all the soft, cozy poses that make newborn sessions so special. From the very beginning, she had the sweetest, peaceful expressions that made every setup come together so effortlessly.
We incorporated a mix of soft neutrals and delicate feminine tones throughout her session, along with a few bold pops of color that added such a beautiful variety to her gallery. The red setup with florals brought a rich, classic feel, while the softer pink and cream tones highlighted just how tiny and perfect she is. I always love creating a balance like this so families receive a full gallery that feels both timeless and unique.
One of my favorite parts of Gema’s session was capturing all those tiny details. Her little fingers, curled toes, and soft cheeks are the kinds of moments that change so quickly in those first few weeks. These are the details that parents never want to forget, and they are such an important part of every newborn photography session.

This is when babies are typically the sleepiest and most flexible, allowing for those classic curled poses that parents love.
