Privacy Policy

• Information you give us. When you submit our contact form, book a session, or create a client account, we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, session preferences, and any message you send us.
• Booking & contract details. To arrange a session we collect information needed for your agreement and invoice, including session type, date, and the electronic signature you provide on your contract.
• Payment information. Session-fee payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card number is entered directly with Stripe and is not stored on our servers. We retain only transaction records (amount, date, and status) needed for accounting.
• Usage information. Like most websites, we automatically receive standard log data (browser type, pages visited, and general location) to keep the site secure and working well, and we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. See “Cookies and analytics” below.

• To respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request.
• To prepare contracts, schedule sessions, and deliver your images.
• To process session-fee payments and maintain accurate records.
• To send booking confirmations, reminders, and account emails.
• To protect our website and prevent fraud or abuse.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate, and only as needed to provide our services:

• Payment processing. Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number is entered directly with them and never reaches our servers.
• Hosting and database providers. Running the website and storing your account and booking records securely.
• Email delivery. Sending booking confirmations, contracts, and account emails.
• Mapbox — address autocomplete on our booking form. When you type an address, what you type is sent to Mapbox to return matching suggestions.
• Google Analytics and Google Ads. Website statistics, measuring which ads bring people to us, and showing our work to previous visitors. See “Cookies and analytics” below.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Portrait sessions often feature children, always photographed with the consent of a parent or guardian. Any use of your images for portfolio, print, or marketing purposes is governed by the permissions in your session agreement, and you may withdraw that permission by contacting us.

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use our website — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located, and whether a contact form was submitted. This helps us decide what to write about and where to spend our advertising budget.

Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your device type, browser, referring website, the pages you view, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not send Google your name, email address, phone number, or the contents of any message you write to us. When you submit our contact form we record that an inquiry happened, along with the session type and how you heard about us — never who you are.

Analytics runs only on our public marketing pages. It is not present in the client portal, on contract-signing pages, or on private pricing links, so nothing you do while logged in or while reviewing your own booking is measured.

You can opt out at any time by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on, by blocking cookies in your browser settings, or by using a tracking blocker. None of these will affect your ability to browse the site, contact us, or book a session.

We never sell your personal information. We do use Google Ads on our public pages, which sets advertising cookies so we can show our work to people who have visited before and see which ads lead to an inquiry. Under California law that counts as sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though no money changes hands.

You can switch it off at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we honour it automatically, and no advertising cookies are set at all.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of non-essential emails at any time. To make a request, use our contact form. We will respond within a reasonable time.

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable payment processing — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data protected.

Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Information about a child in connection with a session is always provided by a parent or guardian.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
