Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing baby girl Rhaeya, a beautiful 3-week-old baby. The session was a dreamy one, with pink and purple colors setting the tone.

Newborn photoshoots are best scheduled when your baby is under two weeks of age. This is when your baby is still sleepy and flexible, making it easier to capture those heart-melting poses. For Rhaeya's photoshoot, I made sure to ask her parents about their preferred colors and themes. In this case, they chose the colors pink and purple, which are cute and playful colors that complement Rhaeya's baby skin tone perfectly. The next step was to choose props, headbands, and wraps that would enhance the shoot's focus on baby. When it was time for the shoot, baby Rhaeya was wrapped up snugly in a soft and warm blanket. Sleeping babies are the best models, and Rhaeya was so soundly asleep throughout the shoot. During the photoshoot, it is important to keep the room warm to help the baby stay comfortable and sleepy. I had all my gear, and I gently and carefully positioned her in different poses, capturing each shot with natural light.
