Welcoming this sweet little one into the studio at just 6 weeks old was such a joy! While most newborn sessions happen within the first two weeks, this session was proof that older newborns can still rock a photo shoot. At 6 weeks, babies are often more alert and expressive, which made for such a fun and dynamic session.
We started with some cozy, wrapped shots where he was snug and sleepy. His calm nature and those tiny fingers peeking out of the wrap made for the sweetest photos. We also captured some beautiful awake moments — those wide, curious eyes and little smiles were everything.
One of my favorite moments was when he settled into the hanging basket — so peaceful and calm. He looked so cozy wrapped up in soft green tones, surrounded by delicate textures that perfectly complemented his features.
It’s always a treat to photograph these milestones, no matter how old a newborn is. If you’ve missed that early newborn window, don’t worry — sessions at 6 weeks (and beyond) can still create timeless, heartfelt images.
