Those first few weeks with a newborn are always so special, and this session with sweet Naomi at 3 weeks old was such a beautiful reminder of how quickly this stage passes. Even at three weeks, she still had that soft, sleepy newborn feel, paired with just a little more awareness that made her session so unique.
Naomi came into the studio so calm and content, and she settled into each setup so naturally. I always love photographing babies around this age because while they may be a little more alert than those early days, they still curl up beautifully and allow for those classic newborn poses. Naomi did just that, giving us a mix of those peaceful sleepy moments along with a few subtle expressions that added so much personality to her gallery.
We used a soft and feminine color palette throughout her newborn session, blending gentle pinks, creams, and muted tones that complemented her perfectly. The textured layers and delicate headbands added just enough detail while still keeping the focus on her tiny features. Every setup felt timeless and simple, which is always my goal when creating newborn portraits that families will love for years to come.
One of my favorite parts of this session was including family images. There is something so meaningful about capturing those first moments together as a family with your newest baby.
