A world-class 3,000 square foot studio in the heart of downtown Lodi, built entirely around families — a private kitchenette, a private family living room, and a private changing and feeding room, plus a children's make-believe playspace to keep little ones happy through the session.
For newborn sessions the room is the whole point: held at eighty degrees, sound kept low, and every wrap, headband and prop laid out before you arrive. Nothing has to be fetched, and nobody has to wait with a cold baby. Manteca families arrive, settle in, and leave the rest to Jesica.

A little about Manteca
Manteca grew out of the orchards and dairies of the south valley and has spent two decades becoming a commuter town, which has brought a great many young families in at once. What is striking is how much of the older calendar survived the change — the pumpkin fair still fills Library Park every October, and most of the town still turns out for it.
Downtown is compact and improving, a few blocks of restored frontage around the library park, and it has the unhurried feel that towns keep when they grow outward rather than upward. The orchards start again within a few minutes' drive in any direction.
The studio is about twenty-five minutes north. Manteca families often book maternity and newborn together, which holds the newborn date against the due date and takes one decision off an already full year — and newborn sessions are photographed in the studio, where the heat and the wraps and the quiet are already arranged.
The town's other claim is the one it is proudest of: something between seventy and eighty per cent of all the pumpkins grown in California come out of the fields around Manteca, and the Pumpkin Fair that has run in Library Park for more than fifty years started as the growers' own idea. The park itself was the town baseball diamond in the 1930s and now has a gazebo, a water feature and murals of the town's history along one side. It is five minutes from the frontages downtown and worth the detour on the way home.
