A world-class 3,000 square foot studio in the heart of downtown Lodi, built entirely around families — a private kitchenette, a private family living room, and a private changing and feeding room, plus a children's make-believe playspace to keep little ones happy through the session.
For maternity sessions the wardrobe is the draw — a collection of flowing gowns in soft neutral tones to borrow rather than buy, in a range of sizes, with somewhere private to change and no rush about any of it. Manteca families arrive, settle in, and leave the rest to Jesica.

A little about Manteca
Manteca grew out of the orchards and dairies of the south valley and has spent two decades filling with young families, without losing the calendar it always had — the pumpkin fair still fills Library Park every October, and the town still turns out for it.
Downtown is compact and quietly improving, restored frontages around the library park, and the orchards begin again within a few minutes in any direction. Those orchard rows are the best maternity setting the town has: even light, a natural corridor, and nothing behind you competing for attention.
The studio is about twenty-five minutes north when the weather refuses to cooperate, which between November and February it usually does. Manteca families often book the maternity session and the newborn session in one conversation and take a decision off an already full year.
The town's real distinction is agricultural: something between seventy and eighty per cent of California's pumpkins come from the fields around Manteca, and the Pumpkin Fair in Library Park has run for over fifty years on the growers' own initiative. Those fields turn orange in October and are a genuinely unusual maternity setting for anyone due in the winter. Library Park is the prettier civic option — a 1930s baseball diamond turned park, with a gazebo, a water feature and murals of the town's history — and the restored El Rey façade is a block away.

The gown wardrobe is there too. If your timing happens to land in October, though, take the pumpkin fields; there is nothing else like them within an hour.
Do I need to bring a gown?
Not unless you would like to. There is a wardrobe of maternity gowns at the studio to borrow, with sizing and colour settled at booking rather than sprung on you on the day. Bring a piece of your own as well if you love it — plenty of sessions use both.
