Family Photographer in Stockton, CA
Serving Stockton
Relaxed, timeless family portraits for Stockton — in the Lodi studio or outdoors in the light your family actually lives in.
Families across Stockton trust Jesica Allen Photography with their most precious moments. For seventeen years and 224 five-star reviews, Jesica has photographed newborns, maternity, milestones, cake smashes, and families from Stockton and throughout the Central Valley.
Stockton is about 20 minutes south of Lodi, so every session is an easy trip to her private studio in downtown Lodi. Family sessions run year-round, though autumn light books first — Stockton families planning around holiday cards usually reserve by late summer.
The Studio
Worth the drive to Lodi

A world-class 3,000 square foot studio in the heart of downtown Lodi, built entirely around families — a private kitchenette, a private family living room, and a private changing and feeding room, plus a children's make-believe playspace to keep little ones happy through the session.
For family sessions the space is what matters — room enough to photograph three generations without anyone pressed against a wall, a lounge for whoever is not in front of the camera, and a playspace that buys the twenty minutes small children will not otherwise give you. Stockton families arrive, settle in, and leave the rest to Jesica.

Stockton
A little about Stockton
The Delta gives Stockton its light. A thousand-odd miles of waterway on the city's edge soften the afternoon in a way the dry valley simply does not, and it is the best reason to photograph a family here rather than twenty minutes inland.
Victory Park, with the Haggin Museum at its centre, is the usual choice, and the University of the Pacific — chartered in 1851 and the oldest university in California — has red-brick quads and mature planting that are the handsomest ground in the city. The Miracle Mile still carries the shopfronts and neon of the decade it was built in.
The studio is about twenty minutes north, which makes this one of the shortest drives on the list. Stockton families often photograph outdoors in October and again in the studio in February, which covers both the holiday cards and the winter wall.
There is more here for children than the city usually gets credit for. The Haggin Museum sits in the middle of Victory Park, so a session there can end indoors when the light goes; Oak Grove and the Delta levee roads north of town give water and shade within twenty minutes; and Pacific's brick quads are quiet at the weekend and endlessly walkable. With the studio twenty minutes north as the wet-weather answer, Stockton is the easiest town on this list to build a two-setting session around without anyone getting back in the car twice.
“My husband and I had newborn photography done by Jesica and she is so professional, friendly, and approachable. We love, love, LOVE the photos we had done. She is very good at directing us in the pictures — her years of experience really show.”
